VOLUNTEERING

Volunteers from the parent body and from the community are crucial to creating Hilltown's special multi-generational, cooperative environment. In addition to parents, our volunteers include students from nearby colleges, local artists, professionals and senior citizens.

Current needs:
These are tasks that are need attention in the next two to four weeks. The name of the contact person follows the task description:
Build bookshelves in the Purples Classroom (Peter)

Playground spring maintenance - mulching, sand-removal etc. (Amy)

Ongoing:
These are tasks that are currently needed at the school in an ongoing way. The person in parenthesis is the person to contact if you are interested in taking on any of these tasks.

Create and maintain a binder of summer camp options for the Family Corner

Digitally photograph and catalog artwork in the Atelier (Laurel or Deirdre)

Mailbox stuffing (Monique)
Choose a day to check in with Monique at 8:30 am or 2:30 pm to see if there is work to do.

Kitchen Maintenance (Deirdre)
Choose one day a week to clear up the kitchen area.

Family Corner Maintenance (Deirdre)
Take care of tidying the Family Corner on a weekly basis

Lost and Found (Deirdre)
Organize the lost and found on a weekly basis and plan for 3 swap weeks

Parking Lot Traffic Control (Amy)
Choose a day to direct traffic in the parking lot during drop off and pick up time.

Lunch or Recess Supervision (Amy)
Choose a regular day to supervise students on a weekly basis

Assist with Service Learning at Hampshire Care (Deirdre)
Attend Hampshire Care visits with classes on Tuesday afternoons

Join the Board, a committee or Friends of Hilltown (Deirdre)
